Patricia “Pat” Brown is a definite and positive force in the human resource industry in Hawaii. She is the president, founder and owner of Employment Specialists, which is located on the tenth floor of the Finance Factors building.

Starting in 1979 with just 2 people, this highly successful business woman strived to become Hawaii’s largest and most successful full-service permanent placement agency. A fact even admitted to by her peers.

Management has been Pat’s goal and destiny since her first job after graduating from Sacred Hearts Academy. She has worked in the credit department of a large retailer – has worked in radio and television – and has also spent some time on the mainland, Latin America and the Antilles…but Hawaii is home.

The employment firm’s expertise includes supplying to the business community the full range of clerical support staff from entry-level people, legal and executive secretaries, junior, middle and upper management and a heavy thrust to engineers and architects.

Her thoughts on a woman’s opportunities in the business world are: “almost unbelievably better than when I started out and they are getting better all the time.”

Pat Brown believes in business, believes in Hawaii and is quite proud of the fact that she is a local girl.
